Emma's going to be a BIG sister! 14 weeks

How Far Along: 14 weeks!
Size of baby: A lemon.

Sleep: Things are a bit different with this pregnancy. With Emma I could sleep whenever I wanted, but with having a toddler already in the picture, sleep is a different story. I was super exhausted for the first trimester, and slept like a baby, except having to wake up to pee. But now, starting to have a harder time falling asleep, and then with Emma waking up early, it makes it harder to relax. But still grateful she sleeps well. Hope the new baby is as good of a sleeper :)
Total Weight Gain: I have actually not gained weight, but never lost all the weight from Emma, so I need to be slow and steady with this one! Right now I am 167, so can't gain too much weight in total.
Symptoms: Not as tired or nauseous, likes week 7-9. Whew! But starting to show and just feel big.
Movement: Sometimes I feel like I feel you already, but that's not possible! Maybe it's just my tummy rumbling.
Maternity Clothes: No mat clothes yet! Holding out, can still fit into regular jeans
Go-to eats: Hmm, bagels, sweets, just had pickles yesterday. Better not fail my glucose test
Best moment of the week(s): This morning. When the first thing Emma said was, I love you mommy. Then we just sat on the couch talking and she said, I want to see the baby. And even said my baby sister with a big smile. So I showed her my belly. Then I asked her what we should name the baby and she suggested Maya and Sophia (the two names she knows from her favorite cartoons). Gosh I love her to pieces. But she is starting to really get it. She's so smart...

How Old is Emma: 15 months (almost 16 months in 10 days)
Size of Emma: Last weigh in you were 18.7 pounds, but that was 3 months ago! I am assuming you're closer to 20 pounds now.

Sleep: You love to wake up at 5:30am! That's your new wake up time, no matter what time you go to sleep, which is usually between 7-8pm. You're still on 2 naps, but trying to transition you down to 1 nap a day so that will hopefully help sleep in later.
New Emma Accomplishments: You are becoming so independent, "reading" to yourself. You even close your bedroom door on us, for alone time! You still say mama, dada, up and nose and bye bye. I think over the next couple of months your vocabulary will really start to take off.
Movement: Walker/runner now! Also you're my little climber! Always crawling on things, you move so fast now.
Go-to eats: Since I am on a business trip right now, I decided when I get home, no more booby milk. But we did pretty good. 15 months! Now you still love cow whole milk and drink it warm (only) oops that was our mistake. And you love fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, porridge and still love goldfish.
Best moment of the week(s): When we took you to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (over the holidays) and we rode the ride that whips you around the corners and you would crash into me and laugh so loud. I loved that moment. You're becoming so fun.
Emma's favorite things: Katrina is now taking you to the DuckPond! So you can play with other kids and getting more and more social, even though that was never a problem for you.
Here are some pics recent pics:

Workout: Does this mean me or you? Because me, I am failing miserably when it comes to working out. You are the other hand love to "jump" on the bed, couch and crawl up everything, so you my dear are burning much more calories then this mama.
Milestones and stressors: Since the last post we celebrated Thanksgiving (not a success since dada drank too much) And Christmas which was also not a success so both you and I got Norovirus from Maxwell and was throwing up violently on Christmas eve and Christmas. But it's OK, you're too young to remember anyways and it was kind of nice just celebrating with our small little family.
